Accessibility Statement

This statement applies to the website cardkit.ai and all publicly accessible subpages operated by CardKit. Content hosted by third parties and embedded into our pages (for example the in-app help chat, embedded videos, or provider documentation CardKit links to) is outside CardKit's direct technical control; CardKit lists these separately under known limitations.

This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content do not yet fully meet the accessibility standard. CardKit does not claim full conformance, and CardKit does not claim any external certification or audit result.

This statement is maintained by CardKit as the operator of this website. It is a self-declaration and not an independent verification, certification, or audit.

• Semantic HTML structure with a single main landmark, one H1 per page and a consistent heading hierarchy.
• Full keyboard operability for navigation, mega menus, dialogs, accordions and forms, with visible focus indicators.
• Accessible names for icon-only controls and descriptive alternative text for informative images; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
• Text and interface colours are chosen to meet the WCAG AA contrast minimum of 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text and UI components.
• Responsive layouts that remain usable at 320 px width and at 200% zoom without loss of content or functionality.
• Respect for the operating-system setting "reduce motion": non-essential animations are reduced or disabled.
• Dialogs and menus built on accessible component primitives with correct roles, focus management and Escape handling.
• Accessibility checks are part of the CardKit release routine for new pages and components.

Despite CardKit's efforts, the following content is currently not fully accessible. CardKit states this transparently rather than claiming full conformance:

• Animated product illustration on the homepage

  The scroll-triggered dashboard animation is decorative. It is hidden from assistive technology and reduced when "reduce motion" is enabled, but the underlying dashboard content is conveyed by a static image with alternative text only.

• Product screenshots

  Screenshots of the CardKit dashboard carry a short alternative text. Detailed figures shown inside a screenshot are not reproduced in text form.

• Third-party help chat

  The embedded support chat widget is provided by an external service. Its accessibility is not under CardKit's technical control.

• Third-party integration logos

  Provider logos are supplied by the respective vendors. Where a logo is purely illustrative it is marked as decorative.

• Documents and external links

  Documents and websites of third parties that CardKit links to may not meet WCAG 2.1 AA.

CardKit is working to remove these limitations. Where an alternative is needed in the meantime, contact CardKit and CardKit will provide the information in an accessible format.

This statement was prepared on 31 July 2026 and is based on an internal self-assessment carried out by the CardKit product team. The review combined automated testing with manual keyboard-only and screen-reader checks against the success criteria of WCAG 2.1 Level AA. The statement is reviewed at least once a year and whenever substantial changes are made to the website.

In Germany, the market surveillance authority for the accessibility of products and services (Marktüberwachungsstelle der Länder für die Barrierefreiheit von Produkten und Dienstleistungen, MLBF) is responsible for services covered by the Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSG). Within the European Union, each Member State designates its own authority under the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882).

Contacting CardKit first is not a precondition, but it is usually the fastest way to resolve an issue.

This statement follows the structure required by the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) and its national implementations, including the German Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSG) and BFSGV, and references the harmonised standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1, which incorporates WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
